The lady on the front desk was quite curt to the point of being rude. It was a family weekend for my mothers 70th birthday and when my mother requested articles for kitchen that were not there she was made to feel quite upset with her attitude towards her , also she was rude to me about parking spots I think her attitude does not do well in the job she is in and should probably have less contact with guests

The accomodation is 3 star at best. The room was not clean, we purchased cleaning products from supermarket and did it ourselves. Even cuttlery and glasses were dirty, the fridge also unclean. Generally the place needs a refurbishment to offer value. Someone needs to teach them how to clean and present an apartment, there is no quality control - not such good value.

Begins on arrival. Access is up a flight of steps.

No parking while checking in other than illegal parking in a loading zone. Would not suit disabled. Mind the foyer step......we tripped up it constantly........

Unit was classed as "de-luxe".
No A/C in living area. Wind from off shore most uncomfortable as windows had to be opened....it was Christmas after all.

No TV in bedrooms (2). Ceiling fan in main bedroom U/S. Both bedroom A/C units were clogged with dust which we had to clean. The general state of cleanliness left a lot to be desired.

You are warned by notice on the Frig that if the unit is left dirty, your credit card will be debited with $50 for cleaning ! Both the brush and mop in the unit were way past their "use-by" date and were almost useless.

Did I mention that this was a DE-LUXE unit?

No bedside lamp in 2nd bedroom and no side lamps in living area.
Crockery and cutlery were sad to say the least. I've seen better in Vinnies or the Salvos Op Shops.

Unit is for 4 people but only 2 chairs on balcony....take it in turns?

4 minute showers (water saving) impossible with the stupid shower heads fitted. Water went to all sides and back of shower....everywhere but where it was needed. Allow at least 15 minutes to get all the soap off.
Supplied toilet paper was the cheapest available and tiny soap. Considering a week's booking the "extras" were minimal.
Rooms are only serviced (fresh linen) after 9 days.

Tourist operators in Australia should really spend some time overseas and see what they are competing against. The feeling I get is that they want the maximum return for the minimum input.

Did I mention that this was a DE-LUXE unit?

Needless to say we will not be returning.

Loved every minute of our stay. Exceptional position, presentation, price and helpful courteous service. This was our second stay & we will certainly be back for more. WONDERFUL!!!

South Pacific Plaza is a marvellous place to stay for a Gold Coast break. Reasonably priced, perfectly located, gorgeous views, lovely pool area, right on the mall with cafes and shops mere metres away. We\'re repeat visitors already and we\'ll be back for sure!

Location was excellent, very central with easy access to shops, beach and dining. Spa was not working for the entire 3 weeks we stayed which was disappointing.

Liked: Location was very convenient, staff were friendly and helpful.
Disliked: our apartment could have been cleaner upon arrival. Dust was laying all over glass table tops and bedside tables and large amounts of dust was present under couch and on bed ends.

Room waq neat and tidy.I couldn\'t work out Austar might need more information in booklet. Spa wasn\'t working either. Bit noisy at night on the mall windows not dble glazed.

Overall we were happy but the number of lights that didn\'t work was disappointing and the dining room chairs were very wobbly. Apart from that we enjoyed our stay and are keen to return
